PM Matru Vandana Yojana 2025 Apply Online: Under this Matru Vandana Yojana, the benefits are provided to eligible women in the country by the Center. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to pregnant women of the country. Under this scheme the central government provides five thousand rupees for nutrition in the account of each pregnant woman for the first time. Pregnant women of all income groups are made eligible in this scheme. The benefit of this women’s scheme was considered applicable in all the districts of the country from 01 January 2017. This means that pregnant women delivered between October 31, 2017 and January 1, 2017 also received the benefits of this program.
Goals of the PM Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)
Although, pregnancy assistance scheme will help pregnant women in many ways but there are two main objectives of this scheme:
The first one is providing compensation to working women to make up for loss of wages and ensuring their proper rest and nutrition. Second is Improving the health of pregnant women and lactating mothers and reducing the impact of under-nutrition through cash incentives.

- Matri Vandana Yojana was launched in January, 2017.
- This is a central sponsored programme implemented by the Ministry of Women and Children’s Development.
- Under both the schemes, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and National Health Mission, a total of Rs. 6400 is deposited in the account of a rural woman who is pregnant for the first time and a total of Rs. 6000 is deposited in the account of an urban pregnant woman. Pregnant women who participate in this program receive cash rewards straight into their bank accounts to help with their increased nutritional demands and to partially make up for lost wages. All expectant mothers and nursing mothers who hold regular position with the federal government, state governments, public sector organizations, or who receive comparable benefits under any currently enacted legislation.

Other important points
Under this PM Mathru Vandana Yojana, justified pregnant women will receive Rs 1000 within 150 days of pregnancy and Rs 2000 within 180 days under the third installment after birth and first vaccination cycle of the child. To use the benefits of these systems, pregnant women should provide Aadhaar and account number at the following health centers.
Advantages of the PM Matru Vandana Yojana 2025
This program benefits pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers during the birth of their first living child. The benefit amount of the scheme will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT. The amount is paid as per the given installments. 1st instalment: Rs. 1,000 at the time of pregnancy registration, 2nd instalment: After six months of pregnancy, if the beneficiary undergoes at least one prenatal test, Rev. 2,000 is given. 3rd instalment: Once the child is registered and the child begins the first vaccination cycle, including BCG, OPV, DPT, and hepatitis-B.
PM Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) cannot be used in pregnant women or breastfeeding in the following categories:
- People who regularly work in central or state governments, or public sector companies.
- People who have similar advantages in the context of another system or other law.
Required Eligibility Criteria for PM Matru Vandana Yojana 2025
- In addition to being pregnant, the candidate must be at least 19 years old.
- The candidate must be working and experiencing a pregnancy-related income loss.
- This plan only covers the first birth.
- Within 270 days after the child’s birth, eligible recipients may apply for benefits under the PMMVY program.
- According to PMMVY 2.0 guidelines, a recipient will receive an incentive for the second girl child if she gives birth to twins, triplets, or quadruplets during her second pregnancy, at least with one of the girls’ children.
The criteria for determining the social and economic disadvantages of society are as follows:
- Women from SC and ST
- Totally disabled women or partially (40%)
- Women holding BPL ration card
- Under Ayushman Bharat, women beneficiaries of PM Jan Arogya Yojana.

- Women holding MNREGA job cards
- Women whose family income is up to Rs 8 lakh per year.
- Pregnant and lactating Anganwadi worker/ Auxiliary female worker/ ASHA worker.
- Under the NFSA Act 2013, women who have ration cards.

Online Application Process for PM Matru Vandana Yojana 2025
- Citizens please visit the official website of the Ministry at pmmvy.wcd.gov.in.
- Click on the Citizen Login tab.
- Enter the mobile number and verify it.
- Then enter the details like full name, state, district, sector, block, village and relation with the beneficiary.
- Then click on the Create Account button.
- Once the account is created, click on the Login tab on the main homepage of the website.
- Now enter the user ID, password and captcha code and apply for the scheme.
- After successful registration, click on the “Data Entry” tab and select “Beneficiary Registration” option.
- Then fill out the detailed personal information on the beneficiary registration page.
- While applying for first child or second child, choose the appropriate option under the scheme. When all the form details are completed, click on the submit button.
