According to the Chief Minister of Assam state, every month Rs 18.39 crore is being distributed by the government for the selected girl students. A total of 1.64 lakh girl students will get the benefit in this second installment. The government has set a budget of Rs 240 crore for the successful implementation of this scheme. In the next three years, the target of the Assam government is to connect 10 lakh girl students with this scheme, so that more and more girl students can continue their studies.
